#OTD On This Day, August 28, 2003, Adam LaRoche of the Richmond Braves, an Atlanta Braves Class AAA farm team, played a game at The Diamond in Richmond, Va. Selected in the 29th round of the 2000 draft, LaRoche eventually played for Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Boston, Arizona and finally the Chicago White Sox during a 12-year career. In 2016 he quit the Sox, reportedly because the team would no longer allow his son into the clubhouse. He is one of the co-owners of Outdoor Networks hunting show "Buck Commander."
